India vs Australia - 2nd ODI - Live score streaming.
44th over 196-3. Nehra produces another good over. Just giving away ones and two will not hurt India at this stage. Nehra almost had the wicket of White in the last ball but Raina spilled a difficult chance in the deep.
43rd over 191-3. Vinay Kumar produces a grat opening over in the powerplay. With the slower balls - different varieties at that - used for almost every other ball, the batsmen have no pace to work with and have to be content with just five singles.
Batting powerplay taken.
42nd over 186-3. Nehra does well to recover after conceding five runs, which included a boundary after bowling into Clarke's pads, off the first three balls. White is still struggling for rhythm but Clarke is playing a little gem of an innings.
41st over 179-3. Ashwin is doing a tremendous job here. White and Clarke have no room to work it and have to settle for four singles.
Still no sign of the batting powerplay.
40th over 175-3. Nehra back into the attack. White is struggling for timing and rhythm for the first three balls but gets the timing right on the fourth ball as he pommels it through the covers for a boundary before he takes a quick single of the fifth ball. Clarke also does the same to keep the strike.
39th over 168-3. More good stuff from the spinners. White, known for his long hits is being curtailed by Ashwin's accuracy while Clarke is prepared to wait.
That was Yuvraj Singh's last over. FInishes with a very decent looking 10-0-48-0 against his name.
38th over 166-3. Clarke and White, probably not yet ready to go for the big shots at the death, decide to milk the bowling, taking four singles and a two. Dhoni would not be worried by the singles and the twos.
37th over 160-3. What a time for R. Ashwin to take his first wicket of the game. With a batting powerplay still to come, Hussey and Clarke were threatening. But Hussey departs looking to up the ante. Trying to muscle Ashwin on the leg-sde, he does not get any connection and is caught plumb. C. White is the new man.
Back live after a technical snag and I am extremely sorry for that. Australia are 159-2 after 36 overs.
11th over Aus 35-2. Clarke gets in on the act. Showing the full face of the bat, he gently pushes the ball past the bowler and the mid-off fielder into the boundary. Momentum change?
10th over Aus 30-2. More like it from Australia and Hussey. Hussey, after Clarke takes an early single, sends Vinay through the covers for a gorgeous boundary before clipping him off his pads for another boundary. Australia's best over in terms of runs so far.
Vinay Kumar replaces Nehra
9th over Aus 21-2. That's the first authoritative shot played by an Australian all morning. After Clarke takes a single to give Hussey the strike, the southpaw promptly creames Praveen through the offside for a boundary before playing out the rest of the over watchfully.
8th over Aus 16-2. Oh dear. Nehra removes Paine. The keeper, after playing the waiting game for a long time, dances down the track before trying to clear the mid-on fielder. But it is in vain and Vinay Kumar accepts the chance. Hussey is the new man in.
7th over Aus 15-1. More hardwork for Paine and Clarke, who finally opens his account. Remember Clarke is not exactly in the greatest of form after he struggled his way through the Test series.
6th over Aus 13-1. More of the same from Nehra. Paine looks to cut the first few balls but to no avail. Nehra then draws a frustrated heave from Paine which goes near third man for a single.
5th over Aus 12-1. Praveen is right on the money with his nagging line and length. After Paine takes a single of the first ball, Praveen has Clarke hemmed back firmly in the crease who prods and feels his way before playing five dot balls.
4th over Aus 11-1. It was bound to open. Both Nehra and Praveen were working a lovely line. Marsh tries to work one through the offside but looks back to find his timber disturbed after an inside edge. Lots of gap between bat and pad and even the balance was not there. India strikes first blood. Clarke is the new man in.
3rd over Aus 10-0. A lovely working over from Praveen is dented a bit as Paine gets a streaky boundary following an inside edge. He looks on the right on the button with his lovely, unruffled action. Also a hint of movement.
2nd over Aus 5-0. A good opening over from Nehra who does not give any width to for Marsh to free his arms. A maiden. Marsh has to be content by blocking.
1st over Aus 5-0. Good comeback from Praveen. After erring in line against Marsh, he finds the radar against Paine.
Praveen opens the bowling with Marsh taking first strike.
