Gurpeet was the leader of medals in the Dr: Karni Shooting Range on the fourth day of the Games. Gurpeet joined hands with Kumar and Omkar respectively to win gold medals in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol and 10m Air Pistol items.

One another gold medal for India came through Geeta, the first women wrestler for the country to grab gold in the Commonwealth Games. Geeta pulled down Australia’s Emily Bensted in the 55kg category. The wrestler from Haryana had marched into the finals trouncing Nigeria’s Lovina Odohi Edward.
