England and Wales Euro 2012 qualifier list

England and Wales Euro 2012 qualifiers and complete fixture date schedules.

England and Wales will face each other in their Euro 2012 qualifiers in March and September 2011 after Uefa revealed both teams' fixture schedules.

Wales host Fabio Capello's team in Cardiff on 26 March, with the return game at Wembley on 6 September.

England begin their campaign at home to Bulgaria, while John Toshack's team will kick off away to Montenegro.

The fixtures were decided by a random draw in Tel Aviv after Group G's teams failed to agree on acceptable dates.

England's opener against the Bulgarians takes place on 3 September 2010 before they host Montenegro four days later.

Capello had originally hoped to avoid matches in June the following year and although they have been given a 4 June clash at home to Switzerland, they have avoided matches in potentially high temperatures in the Balkans.

Instead, England play in Sofia on 2 September 2011 and face Montenegro in Podgrica in their final qualifying game on 7 October.

Wales's tricky start away to Montenegro on 3 September 2010 is followed by a home match with Bulgaria on 8 October.

Either side of the Millennium Stadium match against England, they travel to Switzerland and are at home to Montenegro.

Toshack's team's last two qualifiers are at home to Switzerland on 7 October and away to Bulgaria four days later.

The Republic of Ireland's schedule was also determined by Thursday's draw at Uefa Congress in Israel.

They start their Group B campaign away to Armenia on 3 September, 2010, and follow that up four days afterwards with a match against Andorra in Dublin.

Giovanni Trapattoni's team face tough matches away to Russia and Slovakia in October, 2010, before home and away ties against Macedonia in March and June, 2011.

Their return games against Slovakia and Russia take place in the space of five days in September 2011.

The Republic wrap up their campaign away to Andorra on 7 October 2011 and at home to Armenia four days later.

There are 14 places available alongside the co-hosts Poland and Ukraine for the tournament which runs from 8 June to 1 July 2012.

The nine group winners qualify for the tournament with the runner-up with the best overall record.

The eight other runners-up will then face play-offs over two legs in November 2011.
