Vancouver winter Olympics is going to start in just a few moments from now. Excitement is building among millions and millions of people to watch the entire sports event and here follows the first day of Winter Olympics 2010 opening ceremony which will start in a short moment.
For this big sports event a total of 5,500 participants from 82 nations will battle for 258 medals. It will feature much more fun, thrills and record breaking competitions.
The opening ceremony for this winter Olympics will start today at 18:00 local time. And Saturday 13th February onwards, it will have straight competition beginning with Ski Jumping first round.
This event will run whole month right from today to end of February 28th which will follow closing ceremony and celebrations at the end.
More than 500 young leaders from across the country, including First Nations, Inuit and Metis youth involved in the Vancouver 2010 Indigenous Youth Gathering, came together to participate in the GG’s 2010 Olympic Truce Youth Dialogue: Promoting Mutual Understanding at the Vancouver Public Library in downtown Vancouver.
